Hyundai Motor has announced the start of production for the all-new i10 at the Hyundai Assan Otomotiv Sanayi plant in İzmit, Turkey.

The latest model in Hyundai’s best-selling i-range, the all-new i10 will be available for purchase across Europe from the beginning of February 2020.
Designed, developed, and manufactured in Europe, the all-new i10 is a compact city car that is made for the needs of the European market. Characterised by its young, dynamic design, comprehensive safety package and class-leading connectivity, the all-new i10 offers Hyundai customers many features rarely seen in a car of its size. The tagline, “Go Big.” reflects the fact that although it is a small car, it makes a big statement.

The all-new i10 is the latest generation of Hyundai’s A-segment car As well as a fully-new stylish design, it is 20mm wider and 20mm shorter compared to the previous model, giving it a wider, sportier stance. With a volume of 252 litres, the storage space is among the largest in the A-segment. It features a range of advanced connectivity features rarely found in a car of its price range, including Bluelink telematics and integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. All of the advanced technology functions are integrated into the eight-inch colour touchscreen, which is the largest in the A-segment. In addition, all-new i10 offers one of the most comprehensive safety packages in its class with a number of driver assistance and advanced technology features, as well as Hyundai’s SmartSense active safety package.

Located in İzmit, Turkey, Hyundai Assan Otomotiv Sanayi (HAOS) is Hyundai’s longest-running plant outside of Korea and has been in operation since 1997. With nearly 2,500 employees, it has an annual capacity for 230,000 units. The all-new i10 will join the i20 on the production line. In 2019, Hyundai Motor celebrated the 2 millionth production at its Turkish plant.
