This one is still from Mercedes-AMG, but Aston Martin engineers have bumped it up from 528 horsepower to 671 horsepower, 41 more than the previous 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12. The same goes for torque, which increases from 513 to 590 lb-ft in the rev range from 2750 to 6000 rpm.
This is all made possible by larger turbochargers, a revised compression ratio and a new cooling system. An eight-speed automatic transmission is still in use and only the rear wheels continue to propel the car. Aston Martin speaks of 0-60 mph (97 km/h) acceleration in 3.5 seconds, which is about half a second faster than before and even faster than with the old V12.

Ergonomics would also have been improved. The decor is extensively trimmed in flavored, hand-stitched Bridge of Weir leather. Of course, customers will have access to a host of personalization options through Aston Martin’s Q program.
A good number of physical controls remain in the center, while the company’s new infotainment system animates the 10.3-inch touchscreen, wirelessly compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. One or other of these applications will undoubtedly be preferred to the already integrated navigation, despite its beautiful 3D maps. By the way, a new mobile application for remote control and monitoring will be available.
