2024 Dacia Duster – Exterior and Interior / Next-gen Duster Popular SUV !!!. The Dacia Duster is now entering its third generation, and this budget-friendly SUV gets added tech and an all-new design.
This is the all-new Dacia Duster, and it gets a completely revamped design with inspiration taken from the Bigster concept we saw a few years ago.
In addition to the rugged new look, this new alternative to the MG HS and Citroen C5 Aircross gets some new hybrid engines, as well as all the latest safety tech.
New Dacia Duster design
The Dacia Duster has always had a slightly utilitarian look which lends it a rugged charm. This all-new version builds on the same philosophy, with plenty of styling cues taken from the Bigster concept.
The new Duster retains the upright front end design of the outgoing car, however the headlights are now much slimmer and are neatly integrated into the grille. That chunky lower bumper design also looks like it’s lifted straight from the Bigster concept.
All that tough-looking cladding down the side is made of a clever material called Starkle, a type of sturdy plastic which is made up of 20% recycled materials. Alloy wheels start at 17-inches, rising to 18s on higher-spec cars.
The rear end has been given a much more modern look than the outgoing Duster, with some funky triangular tail lights smartening things up nicely. It also has a more sloping roofline, helping this SUV look a bit more sporty.
New Dacia Duster interior and infotainment
It’s not just the outside of the Duster which has been given a makeover, the interior has been completely overhauled as well, and it looks a lot more modern than the outgoing car’s.
This is still a budget SUV though, and as standard you don’t actually get an infotainment screen. Instead, there’s a small screen in between the dials which you can control with buttons on the steering wheel, as well as a phone mount on the dashboard where you can control things like the radio using an app.
Stepping up from the entry-level car does get you a 10.1-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while range-topping models get sat nav and a six-speaker sound system in place of the four speakers you get as standard. All but the basic versions all get a 7.0-inch digital driver’s display, something which hasn’t featured on any Duster before.
Dacia has also come up with a new YouClip system, which is a selection of mounting points throughout the car where you can clip accessories such as storage pouches and interior lights.
Fancy turning your Duster into a mini camper? Well you can spec something called the Sleep Pack. This was first seen on the Dacia Jogger, and it’s basically a box which lives in the boot which can fold out into a bed.
When can I buy a new Dacia Duster?
The new Dacia Duster will go on sale in 2024, however pricing hasn’t been confirmed just yet. You can expect it to fetch a small premium over the outgoing car though, with a figure of around £20,000 possible.
There will be four trim levels available from launch: Essential, Expression, Extreme and Journey. As the name suggests, the Essential gets minimal kit. You still have Bluetooth, six airbags and rear parking sensors, but you have to step up to the Expression if you want the 10.1-inch touchscreen.
In addition to this, the Expression gets a 7.0-inch digital driver’s display, 17-inch alloy wheels and a reversing camera. Extreme models get that clever YouClip storage system, sat nav and keyless entry on top of this.
If you splash out for the Journey version, you get 18-inch alloy wheels, wireless phone charging, a premium sound system and an electric handbrake.
