2024 Toyota Crown Interiors – Sport, Sedan, and Estate models. Toyota Reveals More Details And Shows Interior Of The Entire Crown Range
The SUVs will come in hybrid and plug-in hybrid flavors, while the sedan will be available with hybrid and FCEV powertrains
The Toyota Crown Crossover is already available in the US but Japan will soon get an extended range of Crown vehicles. Following the preview of the Crown Sedan, Estate, and Sports Type SUV in July 2022, the automaker now released more information about their technical specifications alongside their expected market launch dates.
The exterior design of the models has already been detailed. Now, Toyota published a new video of their five-seater interiors. The digital cockpits look very similar to the one in the Crown Crossover, as does the interior layout. Toyota designers added premium features like ambient lighting, wood accents, and new materials for the upholstery. The Crown Sedan has handles on the seatbacks, while in the Estate the rear seats fold flat creating a very large cargo area.
All of the Crown series are based on the TNGA platform. In terms of powertrains, the Sports type and Estate type SUVs will be available in self-charging hybrid and plug-in hybrid flavors – just like the Crossover. On the other hand, the Sedan type will be offered in hybrid and FCEV forms, expanding Toyota’s hydrogen range next to the Mirai. Toyota didn’t provide us with the output and range figures of each powertrain but revealed the dimensions of all models.
The first Crown bodystyle variants that will be offered for sale in Japan next to the already available Crossover are the SUV and Sedan, coming in autumn 2023, while the Estate will follow in 2024. We don’t know if the new models will be offered in North America.
