2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road – Off-road driving test. The Tacoma TRD Off-Road is the first trim for serious off-road enthusiasts, adding standard four-wheel drive, Bilstein shocks with a remote reservoir, the multi-terrain select system, skid plates, the multi-terrain monitor system (exterior cameras to see what’s around the truck), an electronic locking rear differential, optional front stabilizer bar disconnect, and 33-inch all-terrain tires. The TRD Off-Road only comes as a double cab with 5-foot bed, but can be had with the more powerful hybrid engine or the 6-speed manual transmission (but not both, as the hybrid requires the auto).
