Powertrain technology
The XC40 Recharge AWD comes with twin electric motors, one on the front axle and one on the rear axle. These are powered by a 78kWh battery that can be fast charged from 10 to 80 per cent in just over 30 minutes. The version has an estimated range of around 438 km (WLTP Combined) .
The XC40 Recharge is also available with one electric single motor on the front axle. This version comes with a 69kWh battery. The battery, which can charge from 10 to 80 per cent of capacity in just over 30 minutes on a fast-charging system, offers an anticipated range of up to 425 km (WLTP Combined) on a single charge under the WLTP drive cycle.
