New 2024 BMW 5 Series Production Line – Dingolfing, Germany. BMW Group Plant Dingolfing is the BMW Group’s largest vehicle production site in Europe: Last year, around 282.000 BMW vehicles rolled off the assembly lines.
BMWs have been rolling off the production lines in Dingolfing since 1973, with its current portfolio including the BMW 7 Series and 8 Series luxury models and the all-electric BMW iX and car bodies for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars are also manufactured here. On top of that, Dingolfing is at the center of the BMW Group’s global spare parts logistics network. In total, the location has a workforce of approx. 18,000 people, plus 850 apprentices.
BMW Group Plant Dingolfing is also home to the company’s competence center for electric drive system production, whose tasks include manufacturing both the electric motors and the high-voltage batteries for the BMW i5 directly on site.
