New Ducati Streetfighter V2 (2022) Design Details. The madlads in Bologna are at it again, taking their superbike tech and stuffing it into bare-knuckled street-focused brawlers. Now, along with the Streetfighter V4 series (which gets a new SP model for 2022), we get the Streetfighter V2, based off the Panigale V2.

The Streetfighter V2 is basically a Panigale V2 with fairings stripped off, and higher, wider aluminum handlebars instead of clip-ons. The end result? A 178-kg motorcycle, with Ducati’s latest-gen V2 engine making 153 hp at 10,750 rpm, and 74.8 lb-ft of torque at 9,000 rpm. There’s a full electronics package (ABS, traction control, wheelie control, engine brake control, slide control, quickshifter, etc.), and Ducati took the suspension and brakes and tuned them for street use (same Brembo M4 monobloc calipers as the Panigale, but different pads). The single-sided swingarm is stretched slightly, too, providing more stability over the track-oriented Panigale.

Ducati also moved the footpegs around for street-riding comfort, and shortened the final drive gearing for more torque. There’s LED lighting, a 4.3-inch TFT dash, and Sport/Road/Wet ride modes. Of course, riders can also hit the Ducati accessories department and load up on other gadgetry, including a set of aerodynamic winglets.

This wild new machine will be in Canadian dealerships in February of 2022. MSRP starts at $18,995.
