Today, the German manufacturer unveils the new and exclusive 911 Sport Classic 2023, which will be produced in only 1,250 units. Just like the previous 911 Sport Classic launched in 2009 and limited to 250 units, the new edition is visually inspired by the original 911 from 1964 to 1973, more specifically the 1972 911 Carrera RS 2.7 with its famous «ducktail» style point rear. «. Produced by the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur workshop, it borrows its wide bodywork from the 911 Turbo but adds a single spoiler and a double-bubble roof.
Once again, the designers have chosen a paintwork similar to the gray of the first Porsche 356, i.e. a metallic Sport Gray that is not found anywhere else in the range (but present on the 911 Classic Club Coupe recently created at the request of the Porsche Club of America). The alternatives, for those who prefer it, are Black, Agate Gray Metallic and Gentian Blue Metallic. Most come with Light Sport Gray dual stripes on the front hood, roof and spoiler.

The Porsche Heritage crest on the rear engine grille is inspired by the one that was once given to the owner of a Porsche 356 whose odometer showed 100,000 kilometres.
On board the 911 Sport Classic, the iconic Pepita (houndstooth) motif adorns the doors and the central part of the seats. Semi-aniline leather combining cognac brown and black creates quite a contrast with the exterior. The dashboard has a wooden trim on which is fixed a golden inscription «911 Sport Classic» including the production number of the copy.

The new 2023 Porsche 911 Sport Classic can be ordered now, with deliveries beginning in Europe in July. Canada will follow in late 2022, but pricing is yet to be announced. By the way, each customer will receive a bespoke watch to match the car.
