The 2024 Nissan Z NISMO – Wonderful Sports Coupe with 420 horsepower. The highly anticipated Nissan Z has received a high-performance upgrade with the introduction of the 2024 Nissan Z NISMO. Building on the success of its predecessor, the 370Z NISMO, this new model offers improved power and track capabilities.
Under the hood, the Z NISMO features a reworked twin-turbo V6 engine. NISMO has made enhancements to the engine’s cooling system, boost, and turbine speed, as well as the ignition spark timing. These improvements result in an impressive output of 420 horsepower and 384 lb-ft of torque, a significant increase over the standard Z.
Nissan has also made adjustments to the transmission and performance settings of the Z NISMO. The engine management software has been tweaked to provide faster downshift timing, while a more aggressive launch control has been added. Additionally, a new Sport + driving mode has been specifically programmed for track use.
To enhance the Z NISMO’s performance, the chassis has been stiffened with front and rear underfloor bracing, which improves torsional rigidity by 2.5 percent. Suspension bushings have also been stiffened, along with the steering rack mounting bushing to increase lateral rigidity.
Aesthetically, the Z NISMO features a redesigned front fascia with a unique styling element called “Grand-Nose.” The front grille is the thinnest ever used on a Nissan production car, allowing for better engine cooling and reduced drag. Canards at the front corners further enhance the car’s aerodynamic performance.
At the rear, a three-piece spoiler has been added, along with reshaped bumper corners to minimize drag. The Z NISMO also boasts a black painted roof and 19-inch lightweight RAYS wheels, fitted with Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT600 tires. Larger brakes with enhanced cooling are included for improved track capabilities.
Inside the Z NISMO, the interior receives a small makeover with leather and Alcantara-covered Recaro sport seats featuring red accents and the “NISMO” logo. The steering wheel also incorporates leather and Alcantara materials with a red stripe at the 12 o’clock position, and there are red engine start/stop and drive mode buttons. The driver’s TFT display showcases a red outlined tachometer with the “NISMO” logo and a special start-up animation.
Pricing for the 2024 Nissan Z NISMO has not yet been announced but is expected to start around $50,000. Car enthusiasts and buyers eagerly await the release of this high-performance machine, set to hit dealerships in the fall.
